Portugal: Sourcing the Combed Cotton Weave
Our search for the perfect heavy jersey led us to Braga, Portugal—a region renowned for heritage textile engineering. Here, we partnered with a family-owned mill operating with 100% solar power.
Unlike standard cotton, our organic fibers undergo a rigorous combing process. This extracts any short, irregular fibers, leaving only long, aligned cotton strands. When spun into yarn, combed cotton produces a dense, smooth finish with zero piling and double the tensile strength.
Knitted at 300GSM, the fabric becomes structural. It resists collapsing under its own weight, ensuring that the boxy fit we design remains consistent on the body. We believe that true sustainability lies in creating garments that outlast seasons—both in material durability and design longevity.
